VERTICAL OF COMFORT - Private House Interior with Architectural Zoning

This residential interior was designed for a young family in a newly built two-storey house with soaring ceilings and open-plan geometry. The key idea was to balance the impressive scale with warmth, intimacy, and precise functional zoning - while preserving the verticality of the space as a dominant feature.

A full-height stone-clad fireplace serves as the central axis of the layout, visually anchoring the lounge while connecting the two floors. On one side, a built-in shelving system subtly defines the living area from the kitchen and dining space, offering both function and rhythm.

Natural wood, warm neutrals, and textured fabrics create a tactile, calm environment. The architectural detailing - from the rhythm of wood panels to the integration of lighting and sound - ensures coherence across all zones. Each room carries a unique mood, yet all spaces are united by a shared palette and thoughtful material logic.

Designed remotely in collaboration with the client, the project also includes custom joinery, home office integration, and a space-efficient layout for a child’s bedroom with vertical storage.
